The Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ), Germany, together with the Georgian Partner Institutions: Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) and Georgian Technical University (GTU) are planning a 5th Georgian-German School and Workshop in Basic Science, which will be held in Georgia, in August 2012. First part of the workshop will take place in Tbilisi during August 6 to 10, and the summer school will be held in Batumi from August 13 to 17.
The current workshop will be the follow-up of the highly successful previous meeting held in Tbilisi (May 2010), where Jülich and Georgian institutions expanded their mutual scientific cooperation in various fields of Basic Science.
For the up-coming gathering we plan to have a dedicated lecturing courses for the Bachelor and Magister students in a wide range of Natural and Engineering Sciences.
Based on the concept, called the Georgian-German Science Bridge, partners agreed to enforce the scientific and technological cooperation between two countries. The framework has been adopted during the visit of German delegation in Tbilisi, in December 2011.
